MCAS Means No Homework, but.......

Great job on the beautiful Mother's Day letters and poems. Your pot pourri hearts were gorgeous, also. Your Moms are very lucky! Although you have no homework this evening, you should continue to read" Touching Spirit Bear" and complete one page of quarter notes for Chapters 7-9. which is due on Friday. Also, the bookmark identifying similes, metaphors, personification and idioms is also due on Friday, May 15th.

"What Memorial Day Means to Me" essays are being collected all week until Friday, May 15th. Essays will be used to help grades below 70% on the finals from Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. Do a good job and type essays. Good luck to all those who submit their essay for an opportunity to win a prize and the honor of reading the essay on Memorial Day.

We recently had 8 poets recognized on Team 7-2. Congratulations to Cathryn Cook, Melissa Barisano, Joey Girouard, Jennifer Kordash, Danielle Morin, Heather Murphy, Stephanie Murray and Danielle Walsh. Cathryn Cook also received an Honorable Mention for essay submitted to the Jean d"Arc Credit Union. Excellent Job!
